Is blogging a “really big” responsibility?

My webmaster just chided me for not blogging in a week. I’m not bitter, no, really, I’m not. It’s not like I’ve been incredibly busy, ya’ know, learning Middle Egyptian Hieroglyphics or anything. I’m not reading human rights novels, learning about plate tectonics or conservation of angular momentum or anything, I’ve got plenty of time to blog… Actually, I would like to blog about Hieroglyphics for a moment. From the time I started to now, about 4 weeks ago, I have learned so much about linguistics and afro-asiatic syntax and grammar, it’s kind of surreal. 5 weeks ago I knew nothing about: Morphemes, logograms, phoentic complements, direct genitives, indirect genitives, bound constructions, 3 different types of non-verbal sentences, and terms like a “3 radical, weak verb with 2nd geminating characteristics”. I give a tremendous amount of credit to my professor, Daniel Seldon, a truly gifted man who speaks 12 languages.
